Vinsobres Primitiae

Vintage 2023

Composed of a blend of grapes from 3 distinct terroirs at different altitudes, Primitiae reflects the estate's original cuvée, the first fruits harvested from our land. The commune of Vinsobres enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers. The intense heat of summer 2023, challenging for the vines, allowed us to produce wines with strong typicity, well-balanced profiles, and great aromatic finesse.

Fragrant, notes of black olive, violet and undergrowth (black truffle).

Typicity

The palate succeeds in combining straight tannins, a blossoming fruit with notes of plum, while preserving freshness and elegance, light notes of toasted almond.

Description

Ageing potential : Up to 10 years - Alcohol Content : 15% vol.

The vines are 25 to 50 years old. They are cut in cordon of Royat. In order for our Vinsobres to express its full potential, we rely on the quality and concentration of flavors. That’s why we do not exceed 30 HL / ha.

After harvesting by hand in majority, the grapes undergo a total destemming. Vinification in concrete vats with daily pumping over for a better color extraction.
The wine stays on the marc for more than 4 weeks in order to gently extract the phenolic compounds.

This results in a long period of ageing in tank before bottling.
