Vintage 2023

This cuvée owes its name to the legend of Pontias, a local wind whose morning breath purifies the air year-round. The commune of Vinsobres enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers. The intense heat of summer 2023, while challenging for the vines, resulted in wines with strong typicity, well-balanced profiles, and great aromatic finesse. The harvest was both high-quality and plentiful aromatic profiles.

An enticing nose of redcurrant, blueberry, spices, garrigue, and a hint of jam.

Typicity

A supple attack, a full-bodied, rich, and clean palate displaying an irresistibly sunny character. A subtle balance between aromatic power and fine tannins. The explosively long finish reveals notes of licorice.

Description

Ageing potential : Between 3 and 6 years - Alcohol Content : 15% vol.

The vines are between 10 and 40 years old. They are trained using the Royat cordon system. Yields do not exceed 45 hl/ha in order to produce wines that are fruity and fresh.

After mechanical harvesting, the grapes are vinified in concrete vats using traditional methods for three weeks. The wine then undergoes a long aging period in vats until it reaches maturity.
